Meet the Staff

Blair Corcoran — Minister

Blair’s gentle manner, thoughtful preaching, and great sense of humour are a blessing to us. He always has a story to tell, and reminds us often that God loves us all – there is nothing we can do to make God love us more, or less. Blair is truly called to excellence in his pastoral care work. He has been with our congregation on our journey since the summer of 2005.

While Blair’s first career was in the banking sector, he felt an unmistakable call to ministry and was ordained in 1989, having attained his third university degree – Master of Divinity, at the United Theological College in Montreal. He’s served in several United churches, and has a great breadth of practical experience, as well as theological and organizational knowledge.

He’s a loving and proud family man, blessed with a great partner, friend and wife Alison. Blair and Alison have three children living in different parts of Canada and one grandchild. They currently share their home with Callie - a little Papillon dog.

Laura Fitzpatrick — Choral Director

We are pleased to have Laura as our Choral Director. Laura has a Master of Music from the University of Western Ontario and is a very gifted individual. Her wonderful talents have added some new twists to our music program.

Sandy Beckett — Organist

Sandy hails from a long line of organists — including her Welsh grandfather and her Dad. She’s been involved with our music programme for over 15 years, playing all our keyboards and arranging music. We love the stirring sounds she creates on our wonderful pipe organ.

In addition, she’s a busy, married mother of three active young adults, who works full time as a physiotherapist, and also finds time to run the occasional marathon!

Christine Barlow — Office Administrator

Our church office is a hub of activity — Christine's positive, outgoing attitude combined with her solid administrative skills make her a great resource. Got a question? She'll find the answer!

Student Hosts

We employ a number of youth who work during evenings and summer vacation periods, to keep the church open and running smoothly. They’re fun and well trained to help all those using our facilities. They also cheerfully do innumerable helpful tasks!
